BOSTON -- Another January, another record pace of Red Sox ticket sales.

With season tickets and group sales barreling toward another record, the Red Sox will put single-game tickets for the 2006 season on sale Saturday via redsox.com.

At 10 a.m. ET, tickets will be available for all games with the exception of the nine Fenway Park encounters with the Yankees. In an effort to limit ticket scalpers' access to those marquee games, those tickets -- along with Green Monster and Right Field Roof Deck tickets -- will be available at a later date through a random drawing. Details of that drawing have not yet been announced.

There is a two-game, four-tickets-per-game limit on all transactions. There will be no tickets available at Fenway Park until Feb. 11, when the box office opens for the new season.

Since the beginning of the 2003 season, Fenway Park has been baseball's biggest home-field advantage, with the Red Sox compiling a 162-81 (.667) mark over the past three seasons. That includes last year's 54-27 mark, which also led the Majors. Fans have responded by contributing to a sellout streak that reached 226 games by the end of last season, the second longest such streak in MLB history.
 
Thanks to the 2,847,888 fans who came through the turnstiles, the Red Sox set a home attendance record for the sixth straight season in 2005.

Tickets will also be available through the club's touch-tone telephone system -- (617) 482-4SOX -- beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Fans with disabilities may call (877) REDSOX-9 to purchase accessible seating. The club's TTY number for hearing-impaired fans is (617) 226-6644.
